I work with individuals, couples, and groups on the challenges of relating, both in current relationships and in coming to terms with the impact of childhood histories of trauma. Since 1991, I have worked in particular with male survivors of sexual abuse.

From a base of safety and support, we carefully pace your pursuit of psychological and somatic change, drawing on the personal abilities and resources that you bring with you into therapy.

• In treating past abuse and neglect I work from a trauma-based perspective, mindful of dissociative processes.  My treatment approaches include Mindfulness Practices, EMDR, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy and Psycho-Physical Therapy, as well as Relational Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy.
   
• In working with couples I begin with communication skills, drawing specifically from Imago Relationship Therapy.
   
• I offer Groups for Men Healing from Sexual Abuse at two levels, beginning with a structured introductory 12-week format, followed by the option of continuing on as an on-going support group.  Even if such a group is not currently running, I am interviewing for the next one.
